Can [this or that mod] be added? Max power = 75 Resistance range = 0.1 -3.5, can’t confirm max voltage or current limit however.
The calculations in the Mod Range calculator are based on two main values: The max output voltage and the max output current.
With these values, adding a new mod is trivial. Without them, adding a new mod is impossible. Without the voltage and the current, there can be no calculation.
If you do know these numbers, please do send them to me, preferably together with links to your sources.
If all looks good, I will add the mod to the presets.
You can simply leave your information/request as a comment under this post. Alternatively, use the contact form on the Mod range page: First click the “how it works” link. In the text that now becomes visible, you’ll find a button labeled “drop me a note”. Click that, and you’ll see a form where you can write me a message.
If you don’t know the numbers, I can think of three different ways to get hold of them:
- Ask the mod manufacturer to tell you these numbers. I’ve tried this myself a few times, but I haven’t had any luck. Go figure. Still, you may be luckier than me, so it may be worth a try.
- Alternatively, measure the output yourself. You will need a multimeter for the voltage. For the current you can use an amp meter, maybe build some kind of voltage divider circuit, or just see what voltages it can provide at a few different known, low resistances. While you’re at it, try to find the maximum and minimum resistance that the mod will support.
- If none of these methods work for you, and you’re really intent on having your mod featured, you can always donate it to me, so I can measure it myself and add the numbers to the calculator. Again, send me a message, and I’ll tell you where to ship it.
